New German Accelerator for startups in the life science sector

To Germany in the area Life Sciences To further advance the German life sciences industry, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) is launching the "German Accelerator Life Sciences" (GALS) initiative. German start-ups and young companies in the life sciences sector with a focus on Digital health, diagnostics, research reagents, medical technology, platform technologies and therapeutics This will provide support: They will be able to test and further develop their business ideas, products, and services for the US market for several months in the largest life sciences cluster in the USA. The new GALS also offers companies valuable contacts with potential customers, employees, strategic partners, and investors.

The GALS will be located in the heart of the Boston/Cambridge life sciences region, at Kendall Square in the Cambridge Innovation Center, and will be led by Christoph Lengauer (Chief Scientific Officer of Blueprint Medicines).
