ProSiebenSat.1 on a wellness and fitness trip: million-dollar investment for the Munich startup Vitafy.
The Sports nutrition startup Vitafy is dedicated entirely to a healthy lifestyle – users can find everything from superfoods and protein supplements to practical nutrition tips on the online platform. The Munich-based startup is right on trend, as fitness and wellness topics are currently in high demand. ProSiebenSat.1 has also recognized this and is investing a double-digit million sum in Vitafy. Through the cash and media deal, ProSiebenSat.1 secures approximately 28 percent of the startup's shares.
Vitafy was founded in late 2013 by Jürgen Englisch, Christian Böhm, Georg Bader, and Florian Calmbach together with the company builder Venture Stars. The Munich-based startup offers expert training tips as well as a wide selection of sports nutrition products for muscle building, endurance, and weight control/diet.
