In mid-May, the Allianz Arena provided a showcase for the trends of the future with Digital X South, where the Munich-based startup VISN was honored as a "Regional Digital Champion." VISN has thus qualified for the "Digital Champions Award." Companies can apply for this award until August 23rd.
Numerous companies from Bavaria submitted their ideas. Four companies impressed the jury in the local preliminary round and thus qualified for the nationwide competition. VISN was the only Munich-based startup among the winners. The company aims to digitize building management. Using a combination of sensors and software, the VISN system detects in real time whether office space is occupied or not. Users also receive various analytics.
Digital pioneers honored
At Digital X South, VISN won the "Digital Products and Services" category and was honored for its digital spatial planning. Other winners included Blue-Zonea from Rosenheim, PERI from near Ulm, and Schwan-Stabilo Cosmetics from Heroldsberg near Nuremberg.
Apply until August 23
Companies have until August 23rd to submit their applications for the "Digital Champions Award." The prize is presented by the magazine "Wirtschaftswoche" in cooperation with Deutsche Telekom. Companies that have been on the market for more than five years and have demonstrated sustained success in the digital transformation process are eligible to apply. The regional winners will compete against each other at the concluding "Digital X" event in Cologne on October 29th and 30th. A jury will select the best as the nationwide "Best Regional Champion."
