The Munich IoT startup Dynamic Components was acquired by Vonovia. Founded in 2016 as a spin-off from Fortiss, the founders are now bringing their technology to the residential property manager Vonovia.
Dynamic Components set out to provide companies with a simple plug-and-play solution that would collect and analyze precise machine and process data to help them optimize their workflows. The team recently announced that it is now part of Vonovia Engineering. Vonovia manages approximately 395,000 residential units in Germany and has a portfolio of over 3,300 elevators. This is precisely where the startup's technology will be used in the future.
André Leimbrock, one of the startup founders, comments on the takeover:
"We have now reached a turning point [...]. The team is excited to continue the journey we have begun within the Vonovia Group and to take the next steps together with a strong partner."
The entire founding team, consisting of IoT experts Michael Geisinger, André Leimbrock, Hauke Stähle, and Benjamin Wiesmüller, now works directly within the company. Their solution has already been installed in several buildings, and a gradual expansion is planned. (Updated on July 16, 2019)
