The Fraunhofer Spin-off Ampeers Energy offers a cloud-based energy management platform that enables companies to harness the economic and ecological potential of the energy transition. It is based on Fraunhofer software.
The service portfolio of the startup, founded in May 2019, includes a neighborhood energy management tool, a tenant electricity app, and a software solution for the controlled charging of electric vehicles. The software offering is based on the AI-supported, Fraunhofer IOSB–BRANCH developed the energy management platform 'EMS-EDM PROPHET'. The startup's goal is to make the decentralized energy transition a profitable business model for companies.
Seven-figure seed financing round for Ampeers Energy
And the idea is a success: Last June, the young company completed a seed financing round with a seven-figure investment. The investors include the Fraunhofer Society and the Jost Group. Various business angels from the energy industry are also on board, including Peter Beyer, Volker Breisig, Peter Mussaeus, Moritz Pöschke, Mike de Saldanha, and Andreas Steck. The investment will finance, among other things, further product development and market entry.
