The International Green Week (IGW) will once again be taking a close look at the food startup scene in 2020. If you want to be there with your startup on January 22-23, 2020, in Berlin, apply now for IGW 2020. The application deadline is October 11, 2019.
Edible ice cream scoops made from cocoa fiber, a bar made from hulled hemp seeds with honey for mental fitness, and 100 percent organic, unrefined natural sugar from Colombia — the winners of this year's IGW 2019 Startup Days impressed the jury with their innovative business ideas. You can submit your application documents until October 11. A jury will then review all submissions and select the best for the final round in Berlin. If you are selected, you will have the opportunity to present your products at one of the world's most important exhibitions for agriculture, nutrition, and horticulture and network with traditional stakeholders from the food trade and influencers.
Lars Jaeger, Project manager of the International Green Week Berlin, says:
"Innovative marketing approaches for regionally or sustainably produced products – the pitch winners of the IGW Startup Days of the past few years demonstrate that food startups not only recognize social challenges, but also bring holistic and marketable solutions to market with great speed and conviction. This puts them one step ahead of many of the major players."
With the Startup Days, the IGW aims to position current food topics and reflect the changing consumer behavior.
