With its intelligent glove, ProGlove won the WirtschaftsWoche startup competition. In May 2015, the Munich startup at Best of X Invenox from Garching also reached the finals of the Neumacher competition.
A total of 280 startups took part in the 9th. Neumacher start-up competition applied. Aquakin, CarboCon, Invenox, ProGlove, Trecker.com, and Volders made it to the finals. Four of the six teams are hardware startups developing tangible things like a portable hydropower plant, carbon concrete, or innovative batteries. And half of the nominated startups come from Bavaria, two of them from Munich (ProGlove and Invenox).
The winner was ProGlove, a Munich-based startup. The startup is developing an intelligent glove that makes work in production or logistics centers easier and more efficient. Sensors, a scanner, and a display are integrated into the glove. The startup will receive €10,000 in seed capital, advice on brand strategy and legal issues, and coaching from the High-Tech Gründerfonds.
Invenox GmbH was already present at this year’s Munich Business Plan Competition in the final selection and reached 2nd place. The startup, based in Garching, develops and sells battery systems with improved storage technology. A patent has already been filed for the contacting technology, which allows multiple battery cells to be contacted in a single process step. These battery systems are used in applications such as electric vehicles.
