Sinn Power wins Global Ideas Award

The Munich-based startup Sinn Power wins the Global Ideas Award at the Cleantech Open Global Forum 2019 in Los Angeles.

His innovative wave power plant technology Sinn Power presented this year at the Cleantech Open (CTO) Global Forum in Los Angeles in the Global Ideas Challenge. The Munich-based startup was a success, winning the top prize of $10,000.

The nomination coincided with participation in the 2019 StartGreen Awards, and thus Sinn Power was selected as one of the three national champions for the CTO Global Ideas Challenge in Los Angeles. The three-day event connects young companies with potential partners and investors to jointly pursue a path toward a sustainable and environmentally friendly future.

Cleantech Open provides insights into the American startup scene

Sinn Power was nominated for the pitch and the US trip not only because of its innovative and forward-looking business idea, but also with a view to potential international business expansion. Sinn Power already operates several international (research) projects, for example, in Greece and Guinea.

Johannes Stuck, Head of Business Development at Sinn Power, says:

“We are delighted to have been able to take home this award and are very grateful for the impressive network and all the conversations it has enabled us to have.”

Even more than the prize money, the Munich residents were impressed by the deep insights into the American cleantech startup scene.
