The Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) helps startups evaluate their business models with the seminar "Start with Business Modelling." In this seminar, business students use the Business Model Canvas to develop strategic priorities and recommendations for action for real-life startup ideas. The Application deadline is March 23.
With the help of experienced mentors from LMU Entrepreneurship Center, the Institute for Innovation Management (IIM) and the Faculty of Business Administration, the students spend about three months developing a Business Model Canvas to a real startup project. So, a little patience is required.
The work examines value propositions, customer segments, and revenue streams. As a result, founders receive concrete recommendations for action, free of charge.
Who can apply for “Start with Business Modelling”?
Participation in the "Start with Business Modelling" process is recommended for a wide variety of starting positions. It's exciting, for example, for startups about to hold financing discussions with potential investors, or for young companies that want to gain a different perspective on their existing business model or new product ideas. Therefore, an application is suitable for companies seeking the following:
- New ideas for a start-up project or for existing companies
- A development of recommendations for concrete implementation
- A deepening of certain fields of action of the business model (such as new customer segments, financing)
- Access to current knowledge and studies
- Building and expanding your personal network
The founders are also encouraged to discuss the project goals with the team in a preliminary meeting. The pitches and handover of the final Business Model Canvas and pitch decks are scheduled for July 2020.
Startups can apply here until March 23 at 4 p.m. apply.
