The Next Commerce Accelerator (NCA) starts Its next batch will be launched in mid-April. It is strongly connected to the retail industry, but is not limited to a specific sector. Recent batches have included startups from a variety of areas, including payment, HR, beauty, food, MarTech, and AR/VR. Interested startups can still apply. Apply by February 23.
In a six-month program, the NCA Startups prepare for scaling their business and their next round of financing with training, coaching, and mentoring. Among the more than 200 mentors are numerous industry leaders such as Philipp Westermeyer, founder of Online Marketing Rockstars; Nicholas C. Denissen, Vice President of Marketplace Business at Amazon; and Susanne Fittkau, Managing Director of Fittkau & Maaß Consulting.
Investors in the accelerator include Sennheiser, Beiersdorf, Tchibo, and Creditreform. Other partners in the program include Drivenow, AWS, Google, Unilever, and Microsoft Azure.
Apply to the Next Commerce Accelerator by February 23
A look at previous batches shows that participation can certainly be worthwhile: Since the program began in 2017, 26 startups have been financed. Half of these were able to secure follow-up financing within six months of completing the program. One startup even managed to finalize a sale to NCA investor Beiersdorf after just nine months. All supported young companies — including startups from Munich such as Prelovee and Gasido — are still active in the market. Founders who want to take advantage of the NCA for their startup can apply for the 6th batch until February 23.
