The management consultancy Accenture takes over ESR Labs. The Munich-based company develops software and platform solutions for automotive manufacturers and suppliers.
The company's software controls the electronics and networking of electronic functions in the vehicle. ESR Labs also offers solutions for remotely updating in-car software, helps customers develop connected car and mobility services such as car sharing, and conducts research into new technologies for autonomous driving.

Axel Schmidt, global head of automotive at Accenture, says:
