Toposens closes new financing round

The Munich-based startup Toposens develops sensor systems and software that enable autonomous technologies to perceive and interact with their environment in three dimensions. The company has now completed a new round of financing.

The round is led by existing investor Alpana Ventures from Switzerland and joined by new investors Basinghall Partners from the UK and In-Q-Tel (IQT) based in the US. Toposens is one of IQT's first investments in Germany. The non-profit strategic investor focuses on technologies to protect and safeguard the national security of the US and its allies. The investment—the size of which was not disclosed—will the startup to further improve its sensor technology and software, build partnerships, and evaluate new use cases based on the technology. Tobias Bahnemann, CEO of Toposens, commented on the new financing round:
