Shops, restaurants, beer gardens—the lockdown is gradually being eased. But not without restrictions. The Munich startup Shore is supporting salon owners in particular with its free app Light.
Sorely missed by many during the coronavirus lockdown: hairdressers and beauty salons. The days of messy hair may be over. However, salons are only allowed to reopen under strict conditions, including documentation requirements and the storage of customer data. These measures are intended to ensure that chains of infection can be traced even after the incident.
Light makes customer documentation GDPR compliant

To relieve salon operators, the Munich software company Shore is now available for free download of its Shore Light app. The application allows for simple, transparent, and GDPR-compliant documentation and management of customer data. The tool, specially developed for the current exceptional situation, is now also available in the Google Play Store and App Store available.
Hair and beauty salons can use Shore's new solution directly to comply with customer logging requirements to combat the pandemic—without significant effort or IT expertise. Furthermore, the tool allows for the free creation and management of digital customer files, in which contact details and other information, such as hair color, can be recorded.
