In search of the most startup-friendly companies

The success of a startup depends, to a large extent, on finding a partner in the corporate world who supports and collaborates with the founders. The "Corporate Startup Stars" award honors this commitment. Startups can now thank their partners and nominate them for this award.

The awards have been held since 2016 as part of the European Commission's Startup Europe Partnership initiative. They are organized by the innovation consultancy Mind the Bridge and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Last year, the companies Enel, SAP and Telefónica honored by EU Vice-Presidents and EU Commissioners.

Who will be the Corporate Startup Stars?

The award seeks companies that promote collaborations with startups, including through partnerships, incubators and accelerators, or through investments or acquisitions. Companies that are international pioneers in collaboration with startups, continuously improve their competitiveness, and support the next generation of entrepreneurs will be honored.

Companies that would like to apply, must fill out an eight-page questionnaire in which they must provide detailed information. Startups that want to nominate a partner, but it is much easier: you only have to answer 7 short questions.

The Corporate Startup Stars Awards are presented in several categories. These include an Accelerator Award, a Procurement Award, an Investment Award, and an M&A Award, as well as awards in the areas of Open Innovation and Public Sector. Regional awards are also presented, and the best newcomer is honored.
