Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator 2020: apply now

Israel is considered a startup nation, with Tel Aviv as its founders' stronghold. Anyone who wants to see for themselves can now apply for the Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator.

The Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator (BIPA for short) supports innovation projects in the field of digitalization and brings established Bavarian companies together with students and young professionals from Bavaria and Israel. Intercultural teams develop customized solutions for the companies' challenges within a co-creation framework. BIPA is dedicated to connecting students and young professionals interested in starting a business with precisely these companies. Launched in 2015, eight editions have taken place to date, with over 30 corporate partners and over 150 participants.

Working together on business issues

BIPA's nine-week virtual program begins with a digital kick-off on October 12 and 13. Hosted online by Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, the event is dedicated to guiding the newly formed teams through the process of open innovation while addressing the specific challenges of the participating companies.

This is followed by a seven-week virtual acceleration phase, in which solutions to the presented business challenges are developed. During this time, the teams are supported by virtual mentoring and tools for online collaboration. The final results will be presented in a virtual meeting on December 16. This year's corporate partners in the program are all based in Bavaria.

The initiative, which is supported by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, is backed by the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) Munich University of Applied Sciences, FOM University of Applied Sciences, and the high-tech community Tech7 in Israel. Other partners include the Center for Digital Innovation and Ben Gurion University in Beer Sheva, as well as Munich University of Applied Sciences.
