Film tip: Silicon Wadi at the Futurale Film Festival

How do we want to work in the future?

This is a fascinating question that concerns not only employers and employees, but also filmmakers. Seven documentaries at the Futurale Film Festival are exploring current trends in the world of work. The festival was initiated with the theme Future of work by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs as part of the dialogue process Work 4.0.

The Munich Startup film tip: The Israeli contribution Silicon Wadi – A High-Tech Soap Opera on Saturday, January 23rd at the Munich Film Museum. This film is all about the founding stronghold of Tel Aviv:

Israel is considered the ultimate startup nation; Tel Aviv alone boasts more startups than all of Europe. So, how does life in a high-tech nation work? Silicon Wadi follows four young companies and their backers in Tel Aviv over two years – from the idea to the pitch, from planned actions to desperate acts, from euphoria to resignation. The stakes are high: partners and family members feel neglected, savings must be used up, and parental support is often a last resort. But the entrepreneurs don't give up and keep fighting until they reach their first million – or even face bankruptcy.

At the subsequent discussion round on the topic “Arbeitenviernull.de or Arbeitenhochvier.com?” In addition to Morten Edzards (Bavarian Israel Partnership Accelerator) and Joachim Gottwald (management consultant), the editor-in-chief of Munich Startup, Gabriele Böhmer, participate.
