The logistics service provider LIS GmbH, based in Stahnsdorf near Berlin, took over Getnow at the beginning of this year and intends to continue and further develop the business.
"We are very pleased that, despite the most difficult initial conditions, we were able to find a future solution for the brand and its employees. This is particularly positive, given that the debtor's own restructuring efforts had failed in the summer of 2020. With the transfer to the new investor, Getnow has the opportunity to be placed back on a financially sound footing and continue to play a strong role in the growing food delivery industry,"
said the insolvency administrator Max Liebig. The new Getnow Managing Director Raik Scheffler says:
"We have long followed the development of the industry with great interest. We see the relaunch of Getnow as a deliberate opportunity to take the next stage of development, to further develop the existing service portfolio into relevant future markets, and to consolidate and expand the position of our medium-sized group of companies in the market."
Getnow is already back online
Scheffler said they are currently working hard to provide customers with the food delivery service again as quickly as possible. Company website is already back online.
According to the insolvency administrator, several potential investors were interested in the Munich-based company.
“The LIS ultimately offered the best prospects not only for the creditors, but also for the future development of Getnow,”
Max Liebig explains why he was awarded the contract for LIS.
