The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Germany) will present the Female Founders Award for the second time in April 2021. With this award, the Chamber aims to promote and strengthen the visibility and networking of female (co-)founders. At the same time, the award is intended to inspire and motivate other women in Germany to become entrepreneurs.
Since female founders are still a minority in the startup ecosystem on both sides of the Atlantic, AmCham Germany launched the Female Founders Award in 2019. It particularly encourages female talent working in technology, electronics, engineering, or other industries. According to AmCham, the award combines the values of American entrepreneurship and German entrepreneurship.
How female founders benefit from the Female Founders Awards
The award includes admission to the international network of AmCham Germany and free tickets to chapter events such as the Annual Membership Meeting and the Transatlantic Business Conference. An introduction to three high-ranking representatives from different companies in the network is also included. The award winners also gain visibility for themselves and their companies. In 2019, Zarah Bruhn from Social Bee has already received the Female Founders Award from a Munich founder.
