There are several networks that support female founders in Munich. However, especially in the tech industry, female founders can also find helpful support throughout Germany.
Networks for female founders in Munich
The network 'One Mission' was launched by the Werk1 startup center, among others. It supports female founders in Munich with very concrete measures. These include events, meetups at schools and universities, and mentoring. Access to a Female Investor Network and affordable office space at Werk1 is very valuable. The initiative 'Women.start.up!' was launched by the UnternehmerTUM. It aims to inspire women to become entrepreneurs and technology entrepreneurs and motivate them to found their own tech startups. The initiative supports this by providing knowledge transfer and access to the extensive UnternehmerTUM network.
Networks that are not explicitly aimed at female founders can also be helpful. Munich Business and Professional Women (BPW) Germany Club‚ especially in mentoring. BPW brings women seeking professional support
experienced women. And also the Business Women Society (BWS) has created a networking app that offers a range of educational opportunities, networking, and events. The Munich Women's Network aims to connect, educate, and inspire women both digitally and analogically. In our interview founder Saina Bayatpour explains what is behind it. (Global) Tech Networks for Women
And then there are the various tech networks aimed at women. The Munich-based organization Female Tech Leaders (FTL) is dedicated to promoting women in STEM careers and leadership positions in the industry. FTL also organizes hackathons and speaker nights. Geekettes you will find a worldwide network for women in the tech sector. There are global, but also local exchange opportunitiesThe same applies to the ‚Digital Media Women‚, which – as the name suggests – focuses on digital and tech in the media, and particularly aims to increase the visibility of women. The association ‚Women in Tech' offers networking opportunities for women working in the tech industry, as well as events. Also at the forefront with 50,000 members are the ‚Global Digital Women‚What began as a Berlin-based network founded by Tijen Onaran has now become an international company. 'Global Digital Women' aims, among other things, to increase the proportion of women in leadership positions and in digital professions, as well as to raise the visibility and network women with a digital focus across industries.
Win prize money in competitions

The city of Munich has Lamonachia a business award for successful, innovative Munich founders and entrepreneurs. Applications are usually possible until the end of March or mid-AprilThere is a prize money of 3,000 euros to be won.
Also interesting, not least because of the prizes of 100,000 euros each, is the EU Prize for Female InnovatorsA special prize of €50,000 will be awarded to a 'Rising Innovator'. This award recognizes a young female entrepreneur (35 years or younger) at the beginning of her career. The European Commission offers this award to female innovators to encourage them, among other things, to start a business.

Become visible with awards
The Digital Female Leader Award is organized by the aforementioned Global Digital Women. The main goal is to generate greater visibility. However, award winners also benefit from access to a strong corporate network. American Chamber of Commerce Female Founders Award (AmCham) offers female founders visibility and access to AmCham's international network. This can be particularly helpful for startups looking to expand into the US. And also 'The Spark‚, the Digital Prize of the Handelsblatt, has a Female Founder Award launched.
