SelectUSA Startup Pitch Competition: Apply now

Are you looking to take your startup across the pond? Then take advantage of the SelectUSA Startup Pitch Competition. The application deadline is March 12.

Are you looking to take your startup across the pond? If so, you can now apply for the virtual SelectUSA pitch competition. A total of 10 startups will be selected from all applicants. These will present their work to the following jury:

  • Robin Quinville, Chargée d'Affaires at the US Embassy Berlin 
  • Jewell Sparks, Venture Partner & Chief Executive Officer at Bithouse Venture Group Inc., Managing Director at United17 Ventures UG and guest lecturer at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management
  • Parul Madan, Founder of Duedash Capital Investments and Serial Entrepreneur, Investor and Advisor 
  • Pedro Vieria, Director, Innovation and Partnerships at 500 startups

The pitch event will take place virtually on March 31st from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Each pitch may be a maximum of four minutes long. The jury will then have two minutes to ask questions. The winning team will then have the chance to compete at the 8th Annual SelectUSA Investment Summit to pitch virtually to investors and VCs in June 2021.

The application period runs until March 12th. You can apply hereYou'll find out whether you've been selected on March 19. Your startup should meet the following criteria when applying:

  • Less than eight years on the market; 
  • up to $10 million in sales;
  • up to 40 employees;
  • Develop a new technology or service or make an existing technology available to a new market and
  • the ability to pitch in English.

In general, any startup can apply, but preference is given to applications from the fields of aerospace, cybersecurity, e-commerce, fintech, medtech and software.
