Social Business Challenge Munich is looking for social entrepreneurs

The One Young World (OYW) Congress, a global forum for young talent, will host its summit in Munich in July 2021. This challenge offers social and sustainable companies from Bavaria with a focus on sustainability and social issues the opportunity to become part of this summit and present their project on stage to a global audience. The deadline is May 31, 2021.

The 'Social Business Challenge Munich' enables social entrepreneurs to participate in the OYW Munich Summit. The conference will bring together over 2,000 young people from over 190 countries. The hybrid event will take place from July 22 to 25, 2021. In addition to virtual participation, parts of the event are planned at the Olympic Park and BMW Welt, among other venues.

What can you win at the Social Business Challenge Munich?

A group of OYW ambassadors from Munich launched the Social Business Challenge Munich to integrate the OYW Congress into their home city and bring sustainability into focus. The challenge offers startups whose solutions address UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 9, 11, or 12 the opportunity to present their ideas to a global audience. The finalists will present their ideas to a high-profile jury including representatives from the City of Munich, One Young World, Yunus Social Business, the VC firm Bonventure, and FASE, as well as OYW ambassadors.

The winning teams will have the unique opportunity to present their solution on stage during the OYW Summit 2021 in Munich. They will also receive an (online) ticket to attend the OYW Summit 2021, allowing the winners to experience a variety of inspiring speeches and panel discussions, as well as exchange ideas with OYW delegates. Furthermore, the award opens up access to the OYW network of more than 10,000 young talents from all over the world.
