HerCareer: Apply now for the founder pitch and trade fair matching

HerCareer, the career fair for female graduates, women in professional and management positions, and female entrepreneurs, will take place on September 16 and 17. Anyone who would like to participate in the startup pitches or register in advance for the fair's matching session with exhibitors and speakers still has the opportunity to do so.

HerCareer aims to be the place to go in Germany for female founders and entrepreneurs to network with exciting personalities from business, science, and politics. They should be able to connect with role models and learn about services and offers for female founders and entrepreneurs and exchange ideas. To live up to this claim, the fair invites high-profile guests as speakers, such as journalist and founder Janine Steger, Julia Freudenberg, Managing Director of the Hacker School, and Katharina Hopp, Vice President of the IT Business Team Mobility Solutions at Robert Bosch. Fränzi Kühne, co-founder and former CEO of TLGG and bestselling author, will speak at HerCareer. She says:

"Germany can no longer afford to forgo 50 percent of its potential, because this will only leave us further behind in the future and prevent us from taking the driver's seat when it comes to future issues. I'm committed to initiatives like HerCareer to bring women into leadership positions and motivate them to pursue this path."

And also Munich founders like Lena Jüngst (Air up), Annette Barth (Ajuma), Zarah Bruhn (Social Bee) or Katharina Mayer (Cake gossip) will share their knowledge at the fair. Katharina Kreitz, Co-Founder & CEO of Vectorflow and also a speaker at HerCareer, supports the mission of the fair and says:

"Female founders are already rare, and unfortunately, they're almost completely absent in the technical field. Therefore, Vectoflow, with its female CEO, is committed to initiatives like HerCareer and Girls Day for technically interested girls to bring more women into technology."

The founder pitch at HerCareer

At the Founder Pitch, male founders and predominantly male founding teams can search for a female co-founder. They present their startup, as well as the field and tasks for which they are seeking a co-founder, to a predominantly female audience. Afterwards, a maximum of 12 participants can ask questions. This upper limit was deliberately chosen to ensure efficient exchange. Therefore, a traditional lecture format with a stage and presentation is deliberately avoided.

Trade fair matching with exhibitors and speakers

With its trade fair matching service, HerCareer offers visitors the opportunity to find suitable matches with exhibitors and speakers, as well as with booth staff. In this way, the trade fair aims to further promote networking within the industry and ensure personal exchange with exciting personalities.

For this purpose, HerCareer uses questionnaires that visitors must complete in advance. They can not only indicate their interests at the fair—for example, whether they are looking for a job, planning further training, or want to start their own business—but can also indicate their own skills to be matched with the best matches.

You can find more information about trade fair matching here.

By the way: Munich Startup is also supporting HerCareer. For example, as a partner of the trade fair, we are giving away free tickets. Anyone interested in participating has until August 31st: simply contact us by email at redaktion@munich-startup.de.
