The hotel conference 196+ Hotelforum München and the Hospitality Pioneers network are jointly presenting the Hospitality Upgrade Award for the fourth time. The award will be presented on October 13 during the conference. Andreas Martin from the 196+ Hotelforum Munich says:
"For several years now, together with Gastgewerbe Magazin, we have been encouraging young startups to apply digital technologies for innovative solutions across the entire value chain, from development to operation of a hotel – and beyond. In the future, however, the topic of sustainability will be given greater focus."
Winners of the Hospitality Upgrade Award receive Fellowship and exhibition stand
The award is specifically looking for solutions in the following areas: processes and operational performance in operational hotel management, the guest experience for private and business travelers, and planning, processes, materials and supplies in the real estate, energy and construction industries that are relevant to hotel projects and operations.
Eligible to participate are innovative startups founded within the last five years that offer a sustainable digital solution for the hospitality industry, a scalable business model, and have already completed an initial pilot project. A panel of experts will nominate five startups from all submitted applications, which will be invited to a pitch on October 13. The winners of the 2021 Hospitality Upgrade Award will receive a fellowship with mentoring and network access, an exhibitor spot at the 196+ Hotelforum Munich 2022, and a one-year junior membership in the Hotel Real Estate Working Group.
