Outstanding individuals can nominate themselves for one of the German Startup Awards on the website until November 29, 2021. A jury consisting of founders, investors, and entrepreneurs will then decide who will receive the awards. The awards ceremony will take place on May 19, 2022, at the Tipi at the Chancellery. This year, the awards ceremony had to be held digitally due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"The last few months have shown how many areas in Germany need new solutions. Young entrepreneurs, in particular, combine the courage and skills to seek out these innovative, digital solutions and put them into practice,"
says Franziska Teubert, Managing Director of the Federal Association of German Startups.
“I am all the more pleased to honor the most outstanding startup entrepreneurs and investors.”
Not only successful and innovative founders are honored, but also those whose business ideas address social and ecological problems and seek new solutions.
Previous winners of the award include Daria SaharovaThe Munich native was named 'Investor of the Year' in 2020.
