Fit for retail

Following the digital launch event in spring this year, the cooperation between the Culture and Creative Industries Competence Team and the Günter Rid Foundation for Bavarian Retail is entering the next round under the title “Temporary Use, Pop-Ups and Co – Retail in the Culture and Creative Industries.”

The aim of this cooperation is to offer strategically relevant expertise to cultural and creative professionals active in the retail sector with new concepts. As part of this, twelve selected creative industry entrepreneurs were given the opportunity to work on their own marketing campaigns in a moderated process. The event, titled "KuK Campus: Attracting and Retaining Customers with Online Campaigns," addressed the following topics: How do I develop my own marketing campaign? What tools and techniques do I need? How and through which channels do I reach my target audience?

Taking the next entrepreneurial step

Clemens Baumgärtner, Head of Labor and Economic Affairs, is pleased about the in-person workshop:

"I'm particularly pleased that we can reopen the doors of the Ruffinihaus for the workshop after a long Corona break and use the interim use project, which began at the end of 2020, as a vibrant space for creative industry work! With the Rid Foundation, we have a reliable partner that has recognized the potential and innovative strength of creative professionals for the retail sector and is now supporting them with customized training programs."

Also Michaela Pichlbauer, Chairwoman of Rid Foundation, is pleased with the constructive cooperation:

"As the Rid Foundation, it is a matter close to our hearts to support our city and its creative industry players in taking their next entrepreneurial step. With these workshops, we are providing new impetus for commerce in our city."

The cooperation, initially planned for one year, is to continue in 2022.
