Master Accelerator: Learn from the best

With the Master Accelerator, German Entrepreneurship is creating a new program to support early-stage startups with the participation of founders of German unicorns from its own cosmos, such as Celonis, Flixbus, and Foodora. This program aims to close a gap in the portfolio: From newly founded to established startups, startups will find the right support in the German Entrepreneurship network.

After 15 years of supporting early-stage startups The program of the LMU Entrepreneurship Centers now ends (LMU EC). But the support of young companies and their founders continues. German Entrepreneurship is creating a new offering with the Master Accelerator. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, the Master Accelerator aims to focus on each individual startup and its specific needs. Registration for the January 2022 launch is now open.

Unicorns pass on their knowledge

Andy Goldstein, founder of German Entrepreneurship, explains:

"Startups should learn from the best. Nine German unicorns are alumni of German Entrepreneurship programs. We are delighted that these founders are sharing their knowledge to help the next generation succeed. They also need a solid foundation for sustainable growth. We can provide this stability through our know-how, many years of experience, and our strong network."

Nine of Germany’s ten largest unicorns have participated in German Entrepreneurship programs: Celonis, Flixbus, Foodora, Sharecare, N26, Raisin, Signavio, Auto1, and Trade Republic. The Master Accelerator includes coaching sessions with some of these masters.

From a team with a concept to a real company

“As a young startup in our first program, being able to work hand in hand with German Entrepreneurship from the Munich office has transformed us from a team with a concept into a real company,”

so Flixbus Co-Founder Jochen Engert.

And Konstantin Mehl, founder of Foodora and Kaia Health, adds:

"When we met Andy Goldstein at Foodora, we were still in our infancy. Thanks to his help, Foodora took off extremely quickly—more than we ever expected."

Applications for Master Accelerator now open

With this six-month Master Accelerator, experts, investors, and outstanding alumni of German Entrepreneurship programs aim to help founders from all industries develop their entrepreneurial skills. This isn't just about imparting knowledge. Startups are encouraged to build their own network, supported by coworking opportunities on-site in Munich, and join the international German Entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The Master Accelerator aims to create a solid foundation for sustainable growth. The program runs twice a year, each lasting six months. Upon completion, participants have access to further support options, such as investor matching (e.g., with Cashwalk) and internationalization programs.
