The learning app Simpleclub offers learning videos, exercises, and summaries for fifth-grade students. Since the beginning of the year, the Munich-based startup has also been offering programs for trainees, which it has developed together with partners such as Deutsche Bahn, Brillux, DIHK-Bildungs-gGmbH, and the German Savings Bank Publishing House.
"Our goal is to actively shape the future of education. The fact that the top entrepreneurs who have built some of Germany's most successful startups are now joining us and believe in our vision of democratizing education through digital learning opportunities confirms that we are on the right track. With the expertise of our supporters, we will continue to drive and expand our strong growth and launch the next phase in early 2022."
commented Alexander Giesecke, Co-founder of Simpleclub.
With the newly raised capital, the startup primarily intends to drive further product development. This includes the comprehensive expansion of its B2B offering. The goal is to cover the 20 most popular apprenticeships in Germany by the start of training in 2022. The Munich-based company also plans to integrate new technologies such as augmented reality into the learning app. This should make it possible, for example, to conduct physics experiments on a mobile phone.
“Anyone who doesn’t equip their trainees with Simpleclub next year has missed the boat.”
"Digital learning is relevant not only in schools, but also for companies. Simpleclub has achieved exponential growth with its B2B product within a very short time and will help many companies position themselves for the future. Anyone who doesn't equip their trainees with Simpleclub next year has missed the boat."
so Christian Hülsewig, founder and CEO of Schüttflix. He and the other investors are not only contributing their capital to the startup. As successful founders, they all want to act as mentors to the Munich-based company as it takes its next steps in growth.
"It's impressive to see Simpleclub's product already at a comparable level to Byju's in India, the world's largest EdTech with thousands of employees and over 100 million users. I believe Simpleclub can be the European equivalent."
supplemented Daniel Krauss, Co-Founder & CTO of Flixbus.
"I'm delighted that Simpleclub's circle of shareholders is expanding to include such great founders. Now, years of expertise from a wide range of industries are coming together and will support the Simpleclub team in building the educational product we've all longed for."
explained Verena Pausder, expert in digital education and partner at Simpleclub.
