With the fresh capital, the Munich-based company will expand its team and further advance product development.
Fully automated, optimized and sustainable transport planning
The three founders, Mathias Baur, Monja Mühling and Florian Schimandl, know each other from their work in transport research at the Technical University of Munich and founded their company in 2015. According to their own statements, they are pursuing the vision of enabling the logistics industry to achieve fully automated, optimized and sustainable transport planning and thus also to intelligently dispatch autonomous transport systems in the future.
On the successful Series A round Monja Mühling, Co-Founder and CEO:
"We are pleased that Smartlane now plays a central role in the digitalization roadmap of many freight forwarders in general cargo logistics. Our solution reduces scheduling effort by up to 90 percent and greatly increases the reliability and precision of planning. This makes it easier to manage the increasing volume of shipments, even with limited resources."
