The 'Award for Digital Cooperation' honors winning projects in two categories: The 'Digital Participation' category recognizes projects that contribute to ensuring that all social groups can benefit from digital change and participate in digital developments. Initiatives or projects that create access to digital technologies for people who (still) lack the necessary skills to navigate the digital world are eligible to apply. This category includes, for example, promoting children's media literacy or promoting online accessibility.
The 'Digital Engagement' category honors projects and initiatives that use digital technologies to promote civic engagement. We are looking for initiatives or projects that use digital technologies in innovative ways to expand and promote civic engagement. This could include, for example, efforts to combat online hate speech or online neighborhood assistance.
