The Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme is looking for Munich startups

A new opportunity is opening up for startups looking for new talent: The Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme (OEP) at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore is offering its students a special entrepreneurship exchange program, which Munich-based startups will also be able to participate in in the future.

The goal of the Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme is to help students gain entrepreneurial experience, for example, by working closely with company founders. This is intended to foster students' entrepreneurial spirit and prepare them to found and manage their own startup. The program lasts six months or a full year and is primarily aimed at students with a technical background. To participate, students must first complete a selection process for entrepreneurial skills.

But startups can also benefit from their participation in the program. It is not uncommon for students to stay with their internship company after their internship. This is especially true for startups that want to expand their business after Singapore or Southeast Asia want to expand, this can already be a first step in that direction.

The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is considered one of the best universities in the world with around 33,000 students. Times Higher Education World University Rankings In the 2022 rankings, it ranks 46th, placing NTU only a few places behind TUM, which ranks 38th. LMU ranks 32nd.

Participation in the Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme

To participate in the OEP, interested startups can contact by email to the Programme Director for the Netherlands and Germany Mark van Staalduinen There are no costs for the companies – except for the internship fee. Visas, flight tickets, insurance, and everything else are covered by the OEP. The next round of the program begins in April with the assignment of students to their companies. The internships are scheduled to begin in June or July.
