Munich Startup: Who are you and what do you do? Please introduce yourselves briefly!
Streavent: Streavent brings virtual and hybrid B2B events to the next level. Through customized online platforms that create lasting experiences and are intuitive to use, Streavent makes digitalization accessible to everyone. Individually configurable platform solutions can be easily used by each of our customers without prior knowledge.
Streavent was founded in May 2020 and has since grown to a team of 14 employees. Felix Schwencke (CEO) and Lennart Paul (COO) are co-founders and jointly manage the company. The two met at a startup competition in Beijing and subsequently began working together through the Manage&More founders' grant. Felix is 27 years old and originally studied mechanical engineering at TUM and Stanford. Lenny is 24 years old and studied computer science at TUM. Both previously worked on various projects around the world.
Munich Startup: What problem does your startup solve?
Streavent: Digitalization is here, and the pressure on organizations regarding events is immense. This is due to new customer demands, high travel costs with shrinking budgets, physical limitations, and new demands for flexible working. Digital or hybrid events offer the solution.
At the same time, digital solutions often don't meet customers' requirements for design, branding, and flexible functionality. With our modular approach, we are able to precisely meet these customer requirements and offer the perfect solution. We support product launches, expert discussions, management conferences, and trade fairs for companies, associations, and political organizations.
Streavent solves this problem.
Munich Startup: But that's been around for a long time!
Streavent: Digital natives make up a small portion of society, yet there are thousands of different solutions on the market for precisely this target group. Most solutions fail to provide support, but instead simply overwhelm users.
Streavent is “also suitable for customers and users who did not grow up in the digital world”
With Streavent, we offer a software solution that's also suitable for customers and users who didn't grow up in the digital world. At the same time, we offer our customers the opportunity to customize the platform to their needs, creating unforgettable experiences. We also maintain a very close relationship with our customers and continue to develop our product according to their needs.
This sets us apart from our competitors and our customers appreciate it.
Munich Startup: Was there a point where you almost failed?
Streavent: We've repeatedly faced challenges that we had to solve together as a team. Fortunately, we haven't nearly failed yet. So far, we've been able to develop very well and are looking forward to the challenges ahead.
Munich Startup: Where would you like to be in one year, where in five years?
Streavent: Next year, we plan to further expand our customer base in the event sector across Europe. In five years, we want to have grown Streavent into an international company with employees all over the world.
Streavent aims to continue to grow as a company for its employees and thus offer ever more exciting prospects for all Streavent family members.
Munich Startup: How do you rate Munich as a startup location?
Streavent: Munich is a fantastic location. We're very well connected here, both personally and professionally. This constantly opens up new opportunities. However, due to our remote-first approach, our employees are spread internationally. Our employees currently work in Germany (Munich, Stuttgart, Cologne), France, Ireland, and California.
We are also very happy about our move into the Plant1 at Ostbahnhof. Here we have the opportunity to continue growing alongside other startups.
Munich Startup: Isar or English Garden?
Streavent: Definitely the Isar (at the Flaucher). It's simply the most beautiful there.
