Anna Christmann, Commissioner of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy for the Digital Economy and Startups, says:
"The award-winning founders impressively demonstrate how startups are actively shaping our future, making it more innovative, sustainable, and more livable in both work and everyday life. Young digital companies are crucial to the development and success of Germany as a technology hub. With the startup competition, we are supporting startups with more than €300,000 in seed capital and providing them with startup expertise and networking opportunities."
Special price for Tree Sensor from Treesense
Treesense receives the Founder's Prize+ and the special "Digital Sustainability" prize for its sensor that can analyze the water balance of trees. Using measurements of the electrical impulse resistance in the xylem channels, which transport water and nutrients to plants, data on the activity of living trees is collected. This forms the basis for a predictive maintenance tool that allows irrigation teams to organize their workdays more efficiently, thus caring for more trees with less effort.
Hoscom, short for Hospitality Communication, is creating a cloud-based internal information and communication platform for hotels. The platform is designed to close the information gap between departments, employees, and guests. The necessary tools should be able to be integrated into the existing system landscape. The Munich-based company aims to simplify everyday work in hotels and improve the quality of stay and the guest experience.
