Startup Teens are looking for committed students again

The Startup Teens have made it their mission to to awaken and promote interest in entrepreneurship among studentsAnd with their business plan competition, they also give them the opportunity to put what they've learned into practice. Participants can choose mentors from the Startup Teens network to help them complete the tasks. Startup Teens also offers online training for creating business plans.

Students of all school types are eligible to participate, either as individuals or in teams, student companies, or already established projects. The only requirements are that they must be attending school in Germany and that applicants must be Application deadline: 13 May 2022 must not be older than 19 years. However, multiple submissions are not permitted for the Startup Teens Challenge.

The competition is divided into seven categories, the exact structure of which is determined by the jury itself at the beginning of the selection process. In the past, however, projects submitted primarily focused on sustainability, environmental and climate protection, education, products and services, innovations, and digital offerings.

Process of the Startup Teens Business Plan Competition

After the deadline, a two-stage selection process follows: In the first step, the jury evaluates the business plans based on three criteria: feasibility, degree of innovation, and completeness of the business plan. The five best startups in each category then advance to the second round, where an online vote from May 31 to June 7 will select two finalists each. A third finalist will be selected directly by the jury. In the grand finale on June 24 at the Axel Springer Haus in Berlin, the three finalists will then pitch for the winner in their category.

Each category offers a prize of €10,000 for the winning team. In addition, each individual and team submitting a business plan will receive a certificate for their participation. Startup Teens will also recognize schools that submit at least three teams with complete business plans for their entrepreneurship education.
