Testbirds continues to grow: Extorel, b-to-v and Seventure invest in Munich-based crowd tester

The Testbirds, a crowdtesting provider founded in 2011, are already considered Success story. Now the VC companies are investing EXTOREL by Falk Strascheg, b-to-v Partners and Seventure Partners invested a total of two million euros in the Munich-based startup. Seventure had already invested 2.1 million euros in Testbirds two years ago and remains the main investor.

Testbirds plans to use the newly raised funds to expand existing services, expand globally, and tap into new target markets. The IT service provider also plans to expand its current workforce of more than 60 people and establish additional country teams. Philipp Benkler, co-founder and managing director, says:

Together with our main investor, Seventure Partners, we are excellently positionedto our Continue growth and to position Testbirds as a leading provider of innovative software testing.”

Falk Strascheg (recently in an interview with Munich Startup) sees great potential in his company’s investment:

According to the company, over 100,000 testers worldwide are registered with Testbirds to test software applications such as websites and apps on their own devices. The focus is on testing usability and functionality for all software types and device combinations. In addition to crowdtesting, the young company offers cloud-based services for testing software applications.
