Google Cloud Germany becomes part of the Insurtech Hub Munich

With a community of over 30 national and international insurers, tech companies, consulting firms, and investors, the Insurtech Hub Munich (ITHM) is developing into a leading network for the insurance industry. The newest member is Google Cloud Germany.

For the insurance industry, data is the most important resource. Cloud-based platforms, for example, can help insurers analyze large data sets more effectively, enabling them to offer products and services that meet changing customer needs. Google Cloud aims to help companies achieve this and advance the digital transformation of their business.

“Google Cloud’s collaboration with ITHM is further evidence of our long-term commitment to the German insurance market and we are determined to play an active role in ITHM,”

says Joachim Wuest, Director, Financial Services Industry at Google Cloud Germany.

"It's a move that's fully aligned with our mission: to accelerate every insurer's ability to digitally transform and reimagine their business through data-driven innovation. Joining the ITHM ecosystem allows us to drive innovation together with the industry's diverse players, leveraging the best of Google."

Insurtech Hub Munich: “Google is the perfect partner”

Christian Gnam, Managing Director of the Insurtech Hub Munich, adds:

“Data is part of Google’s DNA. We We want to build on this and develop an even better understanding of how our community can use their own datasets, access new data sources, and translate them into business cases. Google is the perfect partner to share its experience on this topic with us. We're very excited about this collaboration. Google, welcome aboard."
