Utry.me secures 1 million euros

Utry.me has raised €1 million in its seed round. The company, which claims to be the "first online tasting market without prices," is also planning a crowdfunding campaign.

Utry.me offers its users the opportunity to combine various new products into trial packages with a value of up to 24.90 euros. Munich currently employ 40 people, have over 200,000 community members, and work with more than 500 partner companies. Launched with equity of €5,000, the startup claims to have been in the black since its founding in 2018. Last year, the company seven-figure turnover expected.

In a Interview in December 2020 explained founder and managing director André Moll to Munich Startup:

"The product and concept are unique, which is why it's been so well received. Online supermarkets have, of course, existed for a long time, but there are no trial markets like Utry.me, which exclusively offer new and exclusive products while also incorporating the all-important social community flair."

Utry.me plans additional crowdfunding campaign

Alfred Karl, co-founder of Tante Fanny, Heinz Hahn, former President of FMCG at Mondelez, Stefan Zuschke of BC Partners, and Markus Galler of Plesk are now joining Utry.me. A crowdfunding campaign on Seedmatch will also launch this month, aiming to raise an additional €500,000. Utry.me aims to become Europe's largest marketing and market research platform for fast-moving consumer goods, or FMCG, by 2025. André Moll says:

“We are delighted that the new investors bring more than 80 years of additional experience in FMCG, software development, finance, and corporate strategy, and we thank the founders and managing directors, as well as Utry.me, for their trust.”
