Müller's investment will primarily serve to promote Greenforce's growth and strengthen its research and development center in Munich. The amount of the investment was not disclosed.
"I think it's cool and I'm very happy to be invested in such an innovative company as Greenforce. The products are super exciting and offer a tasty and sustainable alternative for a balanced diet. With its philosophy, Greenforce gives each and every one of us the opportunity to consciously conserve our planet's resources and help tackle the challenges of the future. And all this at our own pace. Let's do it!"
says Thomas Müller about his investment. He also explains which of the Munich startup's products he particularly likes:
"My favorite products are the Easy To Mix spreadable sausage and the fresh mini meatballs; the taste is absolutely authentic."
Greenforce: “We see ourselves as a Climate Food Company”
In addition to vegan fresh products in the refrigerated section, Greenforce offers plant-based alternatives for home mixing in stores and in the company's own online shop. These so-called Easy-To-Mix products have a particularly long shelf life and can be stored without refrigeration. This is said to have a particularly positive impact on the sustainability of the products. Compared to 100 grams of beef protein, the production of 100 grams of pea protein requires around 48 times less land and 8 times less water, and emits 113 times less CO2. This means that Greenforce's plant-based meat releases less CO2 during production than any comparable product on the market.
"We see ourselves as a climate food company. By offering 100 percent vegan enjoyment, we make it easy for our consumers to make a measurable impact on the environment through the consumption and consumption of our products. It has long been officially confirmed that animal-based foods, and especially their production, cause excessive greenhouse gas emissions and thus contribute significantly to climate change. By offering the most sustainable meat, fish, egg, and milk alternatives, we are creating an innovative and new category in the food sector. A category that allows no compromises for the environment or taste."
commented Thomas Isermann, founder and board member of Greenforce.
