In addition to Insight Partners, Sumup co-founders Jan Deepen and Stefan Jeschonnek are also investing in the Munich-based startup. Existing investors Picus Capital, the founders of Celonis, Zalando, and Checkout.com, as well as Operator Partners, are also injecting fresh capital into Sento.
Sento aims to revolutionize B2B data exchange
Sento describes his business idea as making communication between companies as easy as sending a friend request on social media platforms. The co-founder and CEO Felix Krauth says:
"Our solution makes companies less dependent on manual B2B processes via fax, email, or outdated integration technologies. Our vision is to create a global infrastructure that fundamentally transforms data exchange between companies—100 percent cloud- and API-based."
With the fresh capital, the company plans to expand its team and further develop its product. The startup recently about half a year ago fresh funds were added.
“Sentos EDI Platform (Electronic Data Interchange, i.e. Red.) is already showing its potential to become the global data layer for B2B transactions,"
says Rachel Geller, Managing Director at Insight Partners.
"Sento's overwhelmingly positive customer feedback, strong founding team, and vision to revolutionize a deeply outdated space make this investment very exciting for Insight. We look forward to working with Felix, Lucian, and Nimar in this exciting next chapter for Sento."
