Holo-Light expands into the USA

Following a successful financing round in December 2021, the XR software startup Holo-Light is now venturing into the US and opening a new location in Durham – in the heart of the Triangle, North Carolina's technology hub. By expanding into the US, the company, which specializes in augmented and virtual reality (XR), aims to further intensify its proximity to existing customers and local partners, as well as expand its customer base in the United States.

Already within the framework of his last financing round of 5.3 million euros Holo-Light set itself the goal of tapping into new markets. With the opening of an office in Durham, the German-Austrian startup is simply turning this announcement into reality. In the US, Holo-Light says it already serves several companies, including the BMW Group, Procter & Gamble, and aerospace companies. Holo-Light Chief Executive Officer Florian Haspinger explains why the move to the USA is important for the startup:

"We are creating a pioneer for the Industrial Metaverse: a streaming service for XR applications with an intuitive user experience, impressive 3D experiences, and globally available immersive content. The US is one of the world's leading markets in augmented and virtual reality, so this expansion is an important milestone for Holo-Light."

Direct neighborhood with Google

Helmut Gulde, Chief Corporate Development Officer, continues:

"We already serve more than 100 customers worldwide. We're now using the capital from our latest financing round to further expand our business, our relationships, and our competitive advantage globally. With our office in Durham, we're located right in the heart of the Triangle, in close proximity to companies like Lenovo, Epic Games, and Google."

The Durham location will be followed by another office on the US West Coast in the future.

For his immersive streaming service XRnow Holo-Light is expanding its proprietary remote rendering solution, ISAR SDK, into a platform. The technology allows AR and VR applications to be streamed from the cloud or from a powerful local server. Users can access high-polygon, complex 3D content at any time, regardless of location.
