The background to the business model is the increasing pressure on the real estate industry to improve the CO2 balance of properties. Jens Thumm, Founder and CEO of Predium Technology, says:
"A current carbon footprint of buildings is often missing. Furthermore, companies cannot renovate all buildings in the short term. This raises the question of which measures should be implemented at what time, and what costs and savings these will entail over time. The answer to this currently consists of an expensive and cumbersome mix of Excel and consulting projects. We're changing that with Predium."
