The consulting firm Publicis Sapient launched the Global EnergyTech Awards last year to recognize those making a positive contribution to the future of society, the economy, and the planet. This year, the awards will be presented in seven categories:
- Best Smart City Solution: Citizen-oriented solutions that enable better connectivity, better use of resources, and lower emissions
- Best Digital Marketing Solution: Features, content, or experiences that inspire and engage energy customers
- Best Network, Transport or Distribution Solution: Solutions to create sustainable benefits for energy customers, electric vehicle owners, networks and associated systems
- Best CleanTech: Use of digital technologies to reduce energy consumption, increase the use of clean energy or improve energy efficiency
- Best Solution Energy Trading: Technologies for supply, trading, operations, and risk management to keep the world's energy flowing
- Best Use of Data & Insights: Innovative approaches to leveraging structured, unstructured, and streaming data, including blockchain and AI solutions
- Stand-out Performer: From all submissions, one innovation will be selected that is particularly convincing and deserves a special award
Joe Tabita, Energy Lead for the EMEA and APAC region at Publicis Sapient, says:
"We are delighted to present the Global EnergyTech Awards for the second time. There is a growing need for energy companies to collaborate with innovators to build the skills and technologies they need to achieve global net-zero targets. In the transition to a zero-carbon future, digitalization can be a key driver of the transformation of energy generation, storage, trading, and supply."
Win a place at VivaTech 2023
The first-place winners of this year's Global EnergyTech Awards will receive a spot in the Startup Corner at VivaTech 2023 and an editorial feature in Wired magazine. They will also receive a one-on-one mentoring session with one of the jury members. The prizes also include a workshop with Publicis Sapient on scaling and accelerating products or solutions.
There are no special requirements for participating in the competition—other than matching a solution in one of the categories, of course. The exact criteria by which the startups are evaluated vary depending on the category but can be found on the award website. The application deadline is September 30, and the winners will be announced in November.
Further information about the award can be found on its website.
