Which concepts enhance the in-store shopping experience? How can online and offline shopping be combined? The competition “Trade in Transition” is looking for innovative business ideas! Retailers and entrepreneurs in particular are encouraged to submit their ideas for an attractive retail environment.
The competition “Trade in Transition” is led by the Rid Foundation and the UnternehmerTUM Partners are the Bavarian Chambers of Industry and Commerce, the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology and the HBE Trade Association Bavaria.
A panel of experts selects the best projects for the final round. Five finalists receive intensive coaching for four months. The best concept will receive a prize of 10,000 euros.

Retailers, founders and innovators (at least 2 people).
What should the application look like?
2-page business concept covering the following areas:
- Customer problem + solution approach
- Team/Company
- Customer, market and competition
- business model

- Saturday, April 30, 2016: End of application deadline (2-page submission)
- Friday, May 13, 2016: Application workshop at UnternehmerTUM (20 teams will be invited)
- Tuesday, May 31, 2016: Presentation of the 10 best teams
- Start of the support phase with the five finalists
- Friday, September 23, 2016: Final presentation of the finalists to the jury
- Wednesday, October 12, 2016: Presentation of the 5 finalists at the RID Future Congress and award of the winning team
