Robco: Setting up industrial robots as easily as a Wi-Fi router
Robco enables small and medium-sized manufacturing companies to easily operate automated robots. The robots are configured and operated for their specific application using a proprietary cloud software platform. The use of automated robots is intended to address the skills shortage in medium-sized companies. startup scene explains the investor Frank Thelen:
“Anyone who wants to operate robotics systems usually has to build them themselves or with partner companies, which is time-consuming and expensive.”
The Munich-based company's software kit allows industrial robots to be programmed easily and efficiently. Thelen compares its use to configuring a Wi-Fi router at home. According to new investor Sequoia, setting up a Robco system should take only a day or two instead of months and be significantly less expensive than comparable options.
