Generation-D: Social startup competition enters a new round

The nationwide startup and ideas competition in the field of social entrepreneurship, Generation-D, is once again seeking startups. The application period runs until February 18.

With its social entrepreneurship competition, Generation-D supports founders who, with their social startups, are committed to at least one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals are committed to aligning their motives with entrepreneurial spirit and seeking to achieve sustainable success. As part of the competition, participating teams not only receive access to the Generation-D network and the associated expertise, but also financial support. The winning teams receive project-related prize money based on the justified need for the implementation of a project. In recent years, prize money ranging from €1,500 to €7,500 has been awarded per team.

Applications are possible until February 18

The competition consists of two application rounds and an interview phase before a team is invited to the high-profile final event in October. Startups in the planning, founding, or development phase are eligible to participate. Startup ideas in the orientation phase are also welcome. Furthermore, your company should not yet be registered in the commercial register or should have been registered for less than five years.

Applications can be submitted until February 18. Interested founders simply need to apply via the Online form Submit information about yourself and your idea.

In March, pitch decks will be submitted and evaluated in a second round. The remaining teams will then have to present themselves in a personal interview and pitch. The Leader Pitch is planned for June. This will give the final teams the opportunity to pitch their ideas to leading figures from politics and business, network with them, and receive professional feedback. The final pitch event is scheduled for the fall.

Munich startups like Climedo HealthSocial Bee and Wastebuddy have already impressed in the Generation D competition in recent years.
