Last year, Flix increased its global revenue by 185 percent year-on-year to more than €1.5 billion. More than 60 million passengers in 40 countries used the services of the Flix brands. Flixbus, Flixtrain, Greyhound in North America and Kamil Koç in Turkey. Since the founding of the Company Flix has transported almost 300 million travelers.
“2022 was our most successful year to date,”
says André Schwämmlein, Co-founder and CEO of Flix.
"This shows that Flix is more positioned than ever in a highly attractive growth market – we stand for modern mobility, sustainability, and digitalization. And we have a lot planned for the coming years."
Flix aims to launch in Chile and include it in the 49-euro ticket
Schwämmlein added that the company will further strengthen its market position in established markets and expand its offerings in new countries. The company expects a sales increase of at least 20 percent this year, as well as a further increase in profitability.
This year, the Munich-based company is targeting Chile as its 41st country of operation. It has already entered a South American market, Brazil.
In Germany, Flixbus is advocating for the integration of long-distance buses into the upcoming 49-euro ticket, according to Schwämmlein:
"Long-distance buses bring social and climate policy added value to the ticket and make the service itself significantly more attractive. We are very optimistic that this will work."
