Oculai offers a digitalization and AI solution for construction sites. Using cameras, the deep learning solution automatically evaluates construction processes. Users gain access to features such as automated schedule tracking, self-generating daily construction reports, and process metrics. The startup aims to make construction projects more transparent, productive, and plannable. Work processes on the construction site are automated. The solution is currently being deployed primarily in structural work and initial infrastructure projects. Constantin Kauffmann, co-founder and CEO of Oculai, says:

“Especially in these times, the transformation of the construction industry toward intelligent production systems is becoming increasingly important. We’re seeing this reflected in the response to our product. With this fresh momentum, we can capitalize on it and make significant strides now.”

Oculai provides a perfect overview of construction projects regardless of their size or complexity, says Monika Steger, managing director of Bayern Kapital:

“The founding team has developed unique AI for structural work that can significantly increase the degree of automation and digitalization that the industry urgently needs.”

Matthias Flattin, partner & managing director at Axeleo Capital, adds:

“The construction industry is one of the least digitalized sectors due to harsh working environments and complex workflows, which makes change management particularly challenging. Oculai achieves a return on investment from day one with a comprehensive and turnkey solution that enables site managers to optimize their workflows and generate valuable data. This improves the learning curve from one project to the next.”
