More and more people are investing in ETFs and stocks, especially in connection with their own retirement planning. But how does this actually work? These Munich-based startups in the financial education sector aim to impart knowledge about investing.

The Munich-based fintech startup Pigtie wants to not only help its customers with investing, but also provide them with financial education. The young company focuses primarily on the target group of students and young professionals between 18 and 32 years of age. Interview with Munich Startup the founders explain: "80 percent of 18-32 year-olds in Germany say investing is important. But only 20 percent of them actually invest. The current pension system also puts the younger generations in Germany at particular risk of old-age poverty. Through Pigtie, we are combating this problem by empowering more people to invest and making financial freedom accessible to everyone." In August 2022, Pigtie secured a six-figure pre-seed financing, which will be used for the further development of the finance app. (Photo: Pigtie)
