Workshops at the Munich Startup Festival

The 2nd Munich Startup Festival not only features keynotes and inspiring panel discussions, a pitching stage, and culinary delights. On July 17, participants can also look forward to several workshops backstage where they can tackle important startup topics in a practical way.

The workshops at the Munich Startup Festival will cover, among other topics, the following:

  • Trademarks, designs and patents – tools for the success of startups: The law firm Mewburn Ellis explains the tools for protecting intellectual property and how they can be used effectively.
  • Growth through venture capital: From Munich startup to European market leader: Bayern Kapital and Tado use the example of the company to demonstrate the financing journey with venture capital.
  • Maximum efficiency in product development for startups: How can startups optimize their product development through model-based design? Mathworks provides practical examples.

In addition to the classic workshops, there will also be a practice-oriented panel discussion on the club stage: “How startups can collaborate with the city: Best practices and insights”For many startups, public administration is not just an exciting customer, but above all one thing: a black box. Munich Business, the economic development agency of the Department of Labor and Economic Development, therefore wants to demonstrate ways in which startups can collaborate with the City of Munich. Plan4Better and Shquared, two Munich startups provide insights into how they secured contracts. And two representatives from the city of Munich offer tips on what young companies should consider when acquiring contracts and what options exist outside of large tenders.

There are also insights from startups and the Techniker Krankenkasse (health insurance company). Topics such as "Health Revolution: How startups are shaping the future of health" and "People & Culture: How startups manage everything" are the focus. Startup representatives from BesserEsser, Greenforce, Amay Health and Heynanny provide insights together with the Techniker Krankenkasse.

Registration for the workshops and discussions on the club stage backstage is not necessary; on-site registration is first-come, first-served.
