Reflex Aerospace wins first commercial customer

NewSpace startup Reflex Aerospace is launching its collaboration with Media Broadcast Satellite (MBS). Together, the two companies aim to drive innovation in space.

The collaboration offers Reflex Aerospace the opportunity to leverage its expertise in innovative satellite design and manufacturing methods. The Munich and Berlin-based startup will support MBS in deploying space-based technologies. A launch date for the satellite into Earth's orbit has already been set for fall 2024.

This announcement comes almost exactly two years after the founding of Reflex Aerospace and shortly after the successful increase in seed financing round by 1.75 million euros to a total of almost nine million euros.

Sven Sünberg, Managing Director and shareholder of MBS, emphasizes:

"I'm thrilled that after a long and intensive search, we've found a partner with the skills, mindset, and experience to safely launch and operate our technology into orbit. We need the pragmatism of New Space; an adaptable yet highly reliable satellite platform—but above all, the courage to try new things."

With more than 40 years of experience in the space sector, MBS Based in Usingen, Hesse, Reflex Aerospace is a proven service integrator and network operator that offers data transfer and communications services worldwide. The collaboration with Reflex enables the company to deploy new technology within a very short timeframe. For this purpose, Reflex Aerospace is producing a customized satellite that is set to set new standards.

Reflex Aerospace delivers 'at the speed of light'

Walter Ballheimer, CEO of Reflex Aerospace, is confident that the collaboration highlights the advantages of Reflex's satellite manufacturing method:

"We are extremely grateful to MBS for entrusting us with this important mission. This collaboration demonstrates that Reflex Aerospace's innovative approach to satellite design and manufacturing, along with its promise of 'lightspeed' delivery, is exactly what the market expects in times of growing pressure for innovation."
