Nimmsta is a manufacturer of a hand-back scanner and a smart watch that enables efficiency improvements of up to 50 percent in intralogistics work processes. The founders want to use the newly generated capital for the development of a new SaaS platform as well as for sales and marketing. Through the platform, optimized intralogistics workflows such as picking or warehousing can be rolled out in a very short time. The logistics worker communicates with the warehouse management system via the smart watch in both directions, enabling a new form of flexibility and interaction.
One of the business angels, Implico CEO Rolf Adam, says:
„The Nimmsta founding team is one of the most impressive teams we have seen in a long time. Nimmsta has the potential not to revolutionize the last mile, but the last meter in logistics.”
Nimmsta built without external capital so far
Florian Ruhland and Andreas Funkenhauser founded their logistics startup in 2019. Today, the company employs 21 people. The two founders built their startup without external capital until the first financing round. Major customers such as Mercedes Benz, Rewe, Abus and Rapunzel Naturkost are already using the smart watch.
Andreas Funkenhauser, co-founder and CEO of Nimmsta, explains:
„We are very proud of our strong business angels, who have faith in Nimmsta and will support us strategically. Florian and I are also very excited that many of our employees have invested themselves. That is a great statement when your own team is involved. Demand for Nimmsta is rising sharply, which is why the investment is very important for us to expand the team and advance our platform, which we will release in beta version in fall 2023.”
