Nimmsta closes financing round with 4.6 million euros

The Munich-based intralogistics startup Nimmsta has raised €4.6 million in its first round of financing. The investor club Companisto led the investment. Additional investments came from the VC firm Alpha Future Funds and several well-known business angels.

Nimmsta is a manufacturer of a back-of-the-hand scanner or smart watch that can be used in work processes in Intralogistics efficiency increase of up to 50 percent The founders plan to use the newly generated capital to develop a new SaaS platform, as well as for sales and marketing. Optimized intralogistics workflows, such as picking and storage, can be rolled out via the platform within a very short time. The logistics provider communicates with the warehouse management system via the smartwatch in both directions, enabling a new form of flexibility and interaction.

One of the business angels, the Implico managing director Rolf Adam, says:

"The Nimmsta founding team is one of the most impressive we've seen in a long time. Nimmsta has the potential to revolutionize not the last mile, but the last meter in logistics."

Nimmsta has been built without outside capital

Florian Ruhland and Andreas Funkenhauser founded their Logistics startup 2019. Today, the company employs 21 people. The two founders built their startup up to its first round of financing without outside capital. Major customers such as Mercedes Benz, Rewe, Abus, and Rapunzel Naturkost are already using the smartwatch.
